My room mate made his coffee, his cup decided he didn't want it.  Pessimism and spite tend to go hand in hand and here is no exception.  Good thing we have plenty of more user friendly coffee mugs. iPhone.

117-Tool for the Job

116-Occupational Hazard, Occupational Repair

Gaffer tape fixes everything, in this case, my hand.  I was out busting up flats in the dumpster when I caught the space between index and middle fingers on a staple.  No band-aid is going to stay there, but a napkin and gaf tape will.  Canon 50D, 1/60th sec @ f/8, ISO 800, Flash.

115-Repairs

Plumbing repairs now off to work.  For a Sunday, this has been a busy one.  Canon 50D, 1/100th sec @ f/5.6, ISO 1600.

114-21st Century Saturday

It is an absolutely beautiful day so I picked up a bottle of white bordeaux and parked my self out in the back yard with my laptop.  Canon 50D, 1/100th sec @ f/10, ISO 100.

113-Threads

The Sony has a really nice built in macro setting, and can really capture a detailed shot with an extremely shallow depth of field.  Just trying it out.  Sony Cybershot, 1/80th sec @ f/2.8, ISO 80.

Two River Theater Company, housed here in Red Bank, NJ.  Beautiful theater and a fantastic place to get to work.  I've been here for the past week and a half, and I'll be back again first week in may.  Canon 50D, 1/60th sec @ f/16, ISO 100.

111-Pins

Moving on to playing with macro photography in my studio box, I chose the pins that helped build the box and hold it together while the glue was drying.  Canon 50D, 1/100th sec @ f/11, ISO 100, Macro, Flash.

110-HP High

Highland Park High School established 1926.  This is the historic portion of the building with a large expansion added off the back.  This is one of many older buildings around Highland Park that I've come across while walking around town.  Sony Cybershot, 1/80th sec @ f/2.8, ISO 80.

109-Traffic jam

At least the view from bridge was pretty as I waited in line to leave Red Bank, NJ.  I'm carrying the Sony around again because I finally have a way of getting the photos off it.  Sony CyberShot, 1/400th sec @ f/7.1, ISO 80.

108-TLR

My Minolta Autocord Twin-Lens Reflex Camera.  This particular camera was manufactured in 1958 and is still completely intact and fully functional even after 52 years.  It uses 120 medium format film to take 6x6 images giving it a much more detailed negative than that of 35mm film.  And yes, there are still places to both buy and develop this film, in case you were curious.

107-Best Friends Forever

The three ingredients of a good gin martini.  Sapphire is my one brand requirement for my martinis, but with out vermouth and olives its simply cold gin in a glass.  I always take mine dry straight up with olives.  Canon 50D 1/20th sec @ f/4, ISO 1000.

106-Generation Gap

On a walk around Highland Park I saw an old beetle under a tarp parked with the owner's new beetle.  Nostalgia much?  Canon 50D, 1/400th sec @ f/6.3, ISO 800.

105-Weeds

For a weed a Dandelion is a rather fun one.  The seed balls blowing in the breeze.  Too Bad they don't really go with the landscaping and must come up.  Canon 50D, 1/60th sec @ f/6.3, ISO 800.

104-How Does your Garden Grow?

Right now not at all.  But that's mainly because I just planted it.  I have a little herb and vegetable garden in my back yard and a patch of sunflowers off to the side.  My landlord is also working in the back yard so I left the seed pouches on skewers to let him know that I've planted things and not to dig it up, I kinda feel like a 5 year-old doing it that way.  Canon 50D, 1/160th sec @ f/5.6, ISO 400.

103-Abandoned

Not really sure what happened here, but it's Elizabeth, NJ.... So anything is possible.  It's as if the developer ran out of money halfway through building it and left it there.  Canon 50D, 1/200th sec @ f/5.6, ISO 200.

102-Cheesequake

There is honest to god a town in New Jersey named Cheesequake.  And it comes complete with it's own state park.  So far this is the most awesomely named town I've come across.  Canon 50D, 1/200th sec @ f/5.6, ISO 200.

101-Lots of Rocks

First call at Two River Theater in Red Bank this evening.  The strike concluded with us shoveling 14,000 lbs of gravel off the stage.  iPhone.

100-Grape Stem

99-Belly of the Beast

98-Really Big Fruit Fly

I read about the macro technique involving a telephoto lens and a fixed lens arranged in line with each other.  This was an unfortunate fruit fly.  2 and 2 together and I got a super macro of a really ugly bug.  Canon 50D, 1/80th sec @ f/8, ISO 3200.

97-Radio City

A rare view of the Radio City Entrance with the sidewalk clear.  This is the site where a manhole cover blew so the Fire Dept. had the street blocked off to car and pedestrian traffic.  Canon 50D, 1/100th sec @ f/9, ISO 800.

96-Flatiron

The Flatiron building at the intersection of Broadway and 5th Ave was one of the tallest buildings in NYC upon it's completion in 1902.  Flatiron is in the Beaux-arts style architecture and was one of the first to incorporate an internal steel framework.  iPhone.

95-Waiting for the Train

I took my friend Jeremy to Metropark today so he could catch a train to Boston.  Only we started at 7 AM in Newport News.... It was a very interesting day.  Canon 50D, 1/50th sec @ f/11, ISO 100.

94-Saturated Soil

This tree shows the aftereffects of rain and flooding in Virginia Beach, even on the edge of the lake where it has grown for probably the last 30 years, it fell over this winter and is still alive and growing because the roots didn't break, they just lifted out of the ground.  Canon 50D, 1/50th @ f/9, ISO 100.

93-Octopus Tea Cozy

One of my mother's hobbies is knitting tea cozies.  This is her newest design.  Canon 50D, 1/60th sec @ f/14, ISO 800.

92-Need for Speed

I-95 was a parking lot south of Washington.  Eventually it cleared up giving me the opportunity to try some long exposures with a wide angle lens.  Canon 50D, 1/13th sec @ f/22, ISO 400.

91-Cherry Blossom

The Washington DC Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom.  Today my friend Jeremy and I walked the perimeter of the Tidal Basin while I took photos.  This was an especially nice shot.  Canon 50D, 1/640th sec @ f/10, ISO 200.
